Frontrunning in BLockchain networks
Frontrunning in BLockchain networks
BhatMmohsinFront-running in blockchain networks involves exploiting the transparency of pending transactions to gain an unfair advantage. An attacker monitors the mempool, where transactions await confirmation, and submits their transaction with a higher gas fee to ensure it's processed first. This allows the attacker to profit from subsequent price changes caused by the original transaction. Common in decentralized exchanges, front-running can lead to significant financial losses for regular users. Solutions like private transaction submission and gas fee optimization are being developed to counteract front-running and ensure fairer trading environments on blockchain networks.
